A Week In Fashion: Mark Fast, GANT, Plutino Group

A Week In Fashion (By Anita Clarke) – This Week: Mark Fast’s Luminato installation, GANT held a showing for a new collection and Plutino Group relaunched their website.

Events: The Plutino Group had a website launch party which brought industry types together at the newly opened Parts & Labour restaurant.  The owners of Kiss My Face were in town talking to media and industry for the release of their Kiss My Face Peace Soaps.  Triluxe Agency previewed collections from the likes of J. Lindeberg and Pringle of Scotland to media and industry at their Showroom. GANT held a showing for a new collection by Michael Bastian at the Jaytex HQ.

Retail: Sydney’s is moving from fire damaged 795 Queen West to 682 Queen West.  Jewellery designer Dandi Maestre will be opening an online boutique on June 15th (2010).

News: Canadian designer Mark Fast’s Luminato installation called ‘The Ascension of Beauty’ is now up at Brookfield Place and is open to the public.  Mark Fast is also releasing a TOPSHOP collection, unfortunately it will not be available at Jonathan + Olivia.  Vintage Queen, Cherie Federau of Shrimpton Couture, is featured in the June 2010 issue of Flare Magazine.  Also in that issue as a noteworthy blog is Toronto based blogger, Danielle Meder (Finalfashion.ca).
